SEC Commerce Engine
The Commerce Engine is a web application designed and developed by South End Consulting to meet small businesses web needs. The Engine is structured to integrate with existing business software (such as most modern POS/Inventory Control systems) and logic to provide businesses with a seamless approach to running their traditional business relative to online sales and marketing efforts.
Retailer Engine
The retail engine is a component of the Commerce Engine and provides the ability to sell products online. This engine provides the ability for sales, customer rewards programs, multiple discount schemes, product availability messages, and full order fulfillment features such as click thru package tracking and intelligent after-sale up-sells.
POS/Inventory Control Integration
South End Consulting has found that integrating our web software with existing POS/Inventory Control software will save a retailer hundreds or thousands of man-hours a year. For instance, a Retailer running Microsoft's Retail Management System (RMS) is able to take advantage of a "two-way" integration with our software. This means that all Item Information "flows-up" to the website from RMS, and all Sales Information "flows down" into RMS for processing and fulfillment. Furthermore, features such as our Customer Loyalty engine can be fully integrated into RMS, meaning that a customer rewards program can feature points which can be accumulated and/or redeemed online or in the brick-and-mortars.

Gift Registry
The Gift Registry component is a secondary product for the Retailer Component. It provides online businesses with the ability to offer their customers the ability to create, build and manage gift registries. This component increases the face time between a business and its customers and provides the ability to assist customers who originate on the web and might need more in depth knowledge of a product line.
Wholesale Component
The Wholesale Component provides businesses with the ability to offer online pricing, marketing and order features for customers who need to service other retailers. This component provides secure and private features that a business can use to assist in the marketing efforts of their retail customers. It enables sales representatives to manage customer orders from anywhere in the world.
Inventory Component
The Inventory Component provides businesses with the ability to manage the inventory and product fulfillment for retail and wholesale orders. It enables customers to forecast sales and generate reorder notes and purchase orders. Do you need to have a POS/Inventory Control system in place to work with South End Consulting? NO! We have our own proprietary Inventory Control platform!

The CRM component provides businesses with the ability to manage their customer relationships, sales representatives, and products. This component integrates with the gift registry, and commerce components to provide full marketing and sales coverage.
